My kitchen over the past 6 years- a little bit of house love

This yellow pic isn't my actual kitchen, I never took pics of my horrid brown cabinets. Here is the closet google pic I could find.

I painted them white which was better ,but see the great carpet? The avocado green dishwasher that didn't work anymore?
I didn't get a pic of the great country wallpaper I had before we moved it, cows and hearts superglued to the walls. I kid, but really it ruined the walls. Here they are painted sage. Still with horrid carpet. Nice light fixture huh? How about that living room paneling!
Started the beadboard and -new lights!

We built a header and bar /desk in the old dining area. New lights added and old ceiling fan removed. This was a huge job- we also added a heat duct to the laundry room and removed the old exterior door that seperated them.
We bought a new stove-white to match the fridge and dishwasher. Jason added the cabinet to the other side and we changed out the old paisley countertop to butcherblock. We still need a new microwave and vent hood. This is the cleaned up kitchen desk with my brother Gregos art and my new monitor so I can watch old movies from the kitchen.

We've come a long way. I'm pretty happy with it so far. It's tiny. Super tiny, but it works. And we did it cheap. I'm betting around 3 grand for everything, including the appliances.

I love the look of the white cabinets with the butcher block tops, such a nice contrast! This post is totally inspiring as my kitchen is still definitely a "before". It's great to see what you've done.

thanks. Because the kitchen is so small, I thought white would be the best choice. At the time new cabinets were out of the question.
