Going through the Anthropolgy catalog and I see this
collection . Gwen Frostic. Now, I love her work. I have her letterpress books and some art. They want 28.00 bucks for a copy of "To Those Who See." I think I have 3 copies that I bought for buck each. I have other books of hers too. I got a framed print for 75 cents. For a while this summer I couldn't go to a sale and not find something of her work. She's from just north of here.

They even come "with a vintage, handmade appearance". AKA they look like they're from a yard sale anyways. I do like the cards though, I'd frame them (if I found them at a yard sale).
And the secret is that Anthropologie's buyers went to all the same yard sales and cornered the market...
That store has always struck me as an expensive substitute for visiting garage sales and thrift stores, which doesn't mean I've never bought housewares there.
Wow.
If we had garage sales with that sort of merchandise, it would definitely be worth losing my Beauty sleep Saturday mornings.
