I'm going in the wrong direction- I just aquired 2 1/2 more chairs!

Going down the road today I saw 2 1/2 chairs just calling my name. SO, of course I had to get them and bring them to a good home.

The 2 chairs look almost the same as the childs chair in my living room that I featured in yesterdays post. They are larger, and their finish isn't nice (at all) but I will probably paint or re- stain them. I am going to keep them I think. They might be good for my son and his friends. The half chair is the bottom of a Thonet bentwood chair. Yes, just the bottom. Someone has removed the top piece. But left the Thonet tag on the the bottom. Fools. Anyway, that 1/2 chair is in great condition but the finish is lousey. Going to have to repaint that. It will make a fantastic stool. All three items were 2.00. For all of them.

Ok, so I know I am kind of going in the wrong direction, but these are good aquisitions. They may go into storage in my pump room until spring though. My plate is little full right now and I already have 4 other "project" chairs to finish.

Well done! Reverse out-boxing! (Maxwell may have to adjust the book and the cure so that there's a special in-box for chair acquisitions...) They sound cool, anyway... I don't suppose you'd be interested in hearing about the "one in, one out" rule...

funny, I have a one in one out rule for everything BUT chairs. And actually, I have a 1 out everyday (like magazines, etc) and 2 out for every item brought in. I have the extra room needed to hold extra chairs actually (I have an icky pump room for storage) and I do rotate them in an out of my house. My mother calls me the "wayward home for chairs" but, she finds them for me too......
