My boring conservative daily wardrobe

I dress pretty conservatively now- few prints, no bright colors for the most part-unless it's my purse. It's not that I'm a prude- I'm not, my necklines are NOT to my chin- but I feel more comfortable in certain cuts and styles and those tend to be more conservative, less trendy.  Not at all like in my 20's where there wasn't a trend I didn't rock. I hit 40 and my tastes changed. I don't know if that's good or bad actually, but it happened.

This is kind of what I look like daily. Straight leg dark slacks or jeans. t shirt in white, black or a (not too bright) color, tailored type jacket. Black dressy flip flops or ballet shoes, wedding ring with three stone anniversary ring, diamond solitaire earrings. The only item that might have a bit of color, pattern or personality is my handbag ( I do love handbags....)

So, I'm thinking. It might be time to branch out a little bit. Try on some other clothes, see if something else fits me and my life. I don't want to be one of those women that you see- stuck in a rut with their clothes- wearing what amounts to be a uniform.

I'm kind of enjoying putting a colored jacket over black pants, but that might be more color than you're willing to do at this point.

T-Shirts are like pillows--a great place to start. Or stick with the purses. Nothing wrong with that--it's not a uniform if it's classic, is it?

yes, I guess classic is a good word. I like more tailored stuff, pants, jackets t shirts. Button downs and ribbed knits are a problem due to my chest.

I think keeping color with t's and purses may be the way to go.... for now.
