8 years ago my Max was thrust into this world. Pulled out of me by 8 hands before they removed all my internal organs not actually needed to sustain life. I had one look at him, said he "looks like a Max" and then they put me out. Days later I actually got to see him. He DID look like a Max. And he saved my life.
Thank you. Thank you Dr. Downey and my team. Thank you Max, without you they never would have discovered the cancer. I wouldn't be here today if it wasn't for you.
So, in honor of that I do anything he wants on his birthday. It's not spoiling, it's gratitude.
Today, it's pizza, green apples, mandarin oranges, and a chocolate cake with green frosting in the shape of a Lego brick. I got him a Nintento DSXL with games, and he of course, has Legos to make.
I hope he has a happy day.
I know I will.
